Beach Cruisers are kind of in a class of their own because they offer unsurpassed comfort and simplicity, plus low cost to purchase and maintain. Most adult Beach Cruisers i have seen use an 18 to 20 inch frame with 26in standard wheels. Most are singlespeed, but some can come equipped with a multi-speed drivechain. I am hoping this website will be one of the most complete listings of available Beach Cruisers on the internet. That is my goal anyway.

FUJI BIKES They basically have two beach cruiser models - the Sanibel and the Cape May. I like fuji cruisers because they seem to have a little better quality than most beach cruiser bikes. The picture on the right is of their Cape May model. This model has the following specs.

INGLIS CYCLES It appears that most of his bikes are built for off-road racing, but maybe a person could put some ballon tires and a more comfortable seat on one of these bikes to make a very neat beach cruiser bike.

"Quality bicycles hand made in Napa Valley California. Inglis frames have traditional straight tubes while Retrotec frames have curved tubes. Retrotec is the original brainchild of Bob Seals. SWING KING SWING BIKES I debated whether or not to post this bike because my impression from other people on the internet is that this bike is somewhat dangerous to ride. In fact, i was going to buy one but i cannot afford anymore broken legs. I am including it for those of you who have the ability to ride it safely. CALOI BICYCLES Neat cruisers! I was visiting a bike shop who is a Caloi Dealer awhile back and noticed how well made Caloi bikes are nowadays. Heavy-duty spokes and other improvements. And really neat designs. They have a nice line of Cruiser & Hybrid 700c Wheeled Bicycles.

CHOOSING A BIKE FOR YOURSELF
"If you're a man, you'll want at least 1-2 inches of clearance between your crotch and the bicycle's top tube, when you stand straddling the bike flat-footed. If you're going to be doing some more aggressive riding, 2 or more inches may be better. Make sure the handlebar is within easy reach-you don't want to have to stretch, or feel too cramped.

If you're a woman, the amount of standover clearance will be the same as it is for a man. But since women's bikes often have sloping top tubes you'll want to measure the clearance from an imaginary top tube-pretend the top tube extends horizontally from the front of the bike, and measure from there. Again, you'll want to be sure you can reach the handlebar easily, without feeling "crowded."

TREK BICYCLES Trek has a good amount of Cruisers - about 9 different models including one tandem model. Their line of beach cruisers are of the traditional design in my opinion. Click on their "Bike Path" link then click "Cruiser". Check out their Drift 1 model. Women, i think you will like the "Wasabi" model.
