Beach Cruisers are kind of in a class of their own because they offer unsurpassed comfort and simplicity, plus low cost to purchase and maintain. Most adult Beach Cruisers i have seen use an 18 to 20 inch frame with 26in standard wheels. Most are singlespeed, but some can come equipped with a multi-speed drive chain. Some of the bicycles listed here can be purchased online - some cannot: You will have to visit a dealer in a brick & morter type store to purchase many of the bikes here unless you choose to use a service such as ShipBikes.com to pick up your new prepaid bike at some bike shop somewhere. I am hoping this website will be one of the most complete listings of available Beach Cruisers on the internet. That is my goal anyway. Just so you'll know - this site is advertising driven.   10. 25th Anniversary Cruiser COOK BROS RACING   To tell you the truth, i am putting this link up as a "Place Saver" for Cook Bros. Racing because they are back in business and want to grow again and i am hoping they will start building and selling a little more affordable Cruiser bike.     First Off... I've got to express to you how stoked I am to be making bicycle components again. Now, let me explain to you what I've been doing over the last few years. When the "salad days" of American bicycle component makers were coming to an end in the mid 90's, I started looking for work in the industrial design & product development industries. As the years progressed I saw more and more of my income coming from non-bicycle related design work. And That was just fine with me, seeing how the bicycle component industry had for the most part shifted towards quality low-cost Asian components and I refused to have my bike parts made overseas. Then came 9/11 and design business just STOPPED! So once again I looked towards bicycles, but this time as an art form... Thus the 25th Anniversary Cruisers. I had wanted to revive the cruisers for some time, but knew that there was no way that I could cost effectively manufacture them. So rather than going for quantity... I went for quality! I'm sure that the lucky few people that had the opportunity to purchase one of the 25A cruisers will attest to their technical prowse, quality workmanship, and EXTREME cost (complete cruisers averaged $5k each). But even with the high price, the income from the cruisers was just a fraction that I could make doing industrial design work, not to mention the bikes were VERY time consuming... Making sure that each cruiser was a rideable piece of art.

Hawkclassic HAWK CLASSIC BIKES   I possibly mistakenly had this bicycle line included with the "City Bike" category on my website The Bicycle Bum, but people selling this bicycle refer to it as a "Cruiser" bike. If the pictures are true - it is a very beautiful cruiser bike. Made in Germany and not to many dealers in the US. However, there is an eBay seller in the United Kingdom mezorex who will probably ship to those buyers located in the US.

  20. Fuji Cape May FUJI BIKES   They basically have two beach cruiser models - the Sanibel and the Cape May. I like fuji cruisers because they seem to have a little better quality than most beach cruiser bikes. The picture on the right is of their Cape May model. This model has the following specs.

  27. Retrotec Cruiser INGLIS CYCLES   It appears that most of his bikes are built for off-road racing, but maybe a person could put some ballon tires and a more comfortable seat on one of these bikes to make a very neat beach cruiser bike.

    Quality bicycles hand made in Napa Valley California. Inglis frames have traditional straight tubes while Retrotec frames have curved tubes. Retrotec is the original brainchild of Bob Seals. Bob wanted a cruiser that he could ride and race. After being turned away by everyone he asked to build such a bike, he started working on building it himself. I (Curtis Inglis) came on the scene in 1994 apprenticing under Bob for a few years. He really had an eye for beautiful things and it shows in the Classic frame design. After many years of only making the Classic, I started to branch out in all sorts of directions. First it was the Half for my girlfriend, then a twin top tube for a friend, added another tube to the twin for another friend and so on and so on. A lot of the bikes come from my living in Chico and San Francisco and seeing some really neat old bikes that really appealed to me. When I design something new, either for a friend, or myself we ride the thing to death before ever even thinking of making it a standard offering. I guess that's how we have ended up with so many styles of the Retrotec. It keeps it interesting for me as a builder.

  44. Ritchey Moby Bite Tire RITCHEY MOBY BITE 2.1 TIRE   I have bought and used these tires. In my opinion they are a very good quality tire for the price. I recommend them for use on any beach cruiser type bicycle. Before buying these tires make sure there is enough space in between the rear "Chain & Seat stays" and front fork inside width to accommodate these larger than average tires. Some bike frames will not accept them. They look like slick tires and hold up well. In fact, they are called a "Sticky Slick" tire but keep off any slick surface or conditions like mud or ice because you will probably fall over very fast as i once did. These tires are great for clean dry concrete or pavement surfaces only. Dry hard pack dirt might be OK. Tire pressure range is 45 to 60 lbs as recommended by the manufacturer, but i have used even higher PSI with no problem. These tire are sold as 26in "Clincher" tires and contain a steel wire bead. The most common color is black but they used to be made in a cool gray color also. One size only: 26" X 53mm (26"x2.1"). I have linked to Cambria Bicycle Outfitters as a source for these tires. There is a slight possibility that Ritchey Design has stopped making these tires and what people are selling now are the remaining inventory. I hope this is not the case.

    Wide, sticky slick for traction on rock and pavement. Side fins for traction in corners and off camber surfaces. Plush, fat casing for a smooth ride and maximum floatation on sand. This tire is a blast to cruise on. Wire bead. Black-Black. Size-26 x 2.1" 690g.

    The Avigo Ridgedale 26" Men's Comfort Bicycle is great! It has a tapered cad designed aluminum frame, super soft grips, alloy rims and an alloy stem. It also has full fenders, a footbrake and custom cruiser saddle. Comfort Bicycles are designed for ease - with pneumatic tires, curved back handlebars and padded seats. It has minimal gearing and is most commonly used at parks and beaches or places that have a flat terrain. Reviews from the Toys R Us website: "Haven't been on a bike in years. So happy with the quality and comfort. And the price you can't go wrong. I now ride 10 miles a day and enjoy every minute of it." And: "I picked this bike up on sale and in a box at my local store. They sell two Cruisers equipped with 700c wheels, similar to Sycip's "cruiser". Check out their line of Cruisers because they are pretty neat. Their line of beach cruisers are of the traditional design in my opinion. Click on their "Bike Path" link then click "Cruiser". Check out their Drift 1 model.
